England midfielder Frank Lampard praises Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Tom Cleverley after the 5-0 victory over Moldova.

Frank Lampard has congratulated Tom Cleverley and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for their roles in England's victory over Moldova on Friday evening.

Roy Hodgson's side dominated proceedings in Chisinau but Lampard, who scored two goals in the first half, reserved special praise for two of his fellow midfielders.

The 34-year-old said: "Tom Cleverley's a pleasure to play alongside. He's going to be part of the team for years to come. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was brilliant in the first half too.

"The key was the start. These can be tough places to come, and we were expected to win. But the way we started showed our intentions and we were comfortable at half-time."

England face Ukraine at Wembley on Tuesday night.
