Neil Warnock: "No complaints" following Southampton defeat

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock defends his decision to replace Yannick Bolasie with a defender at a time when his side were trailing 3-0 against Southampton.

Neil Warnock has accepted the blame for Crystal Palace's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Southampton earlier today, claiming that he has "no complaints".

Sadio Mane, Ryan Bertrand and Toby Alderweireld each found the net to give the Saints a three-goal lead at Selhurst Park, before Scott Dann pulled one back for the hosts with four minutes remaining.

Supporters were left unhappy with Warnock's decision to replace Yannick Bolasie with defender Martin Kelly, although the Eagles boss defended his decision following the match.

"When you lose a game you're responsible, I've no complaints about that," he is quoted as saying by ESPN. "Bolasie's wife is having a baby and he was tired before the game today. What with us playing at QPR in not much more than 24 hours, I thought we would just save his legs a bit.

"You know when you take Bolasie off when you're losing 3-0 you're going to get stick, but you just have to think about QPR really. I have no complaints, at 3-0 down, you'd be very surprised not to get a bit of stick.

"I thought [the players] were very good today in the circumstances, they were almost as shell-shocked as some of the fans."

Palace have now gone six league games without a win which has seen them slip into the bottom three of the division.
