Micky Adams: 'I feel sorry for Coventry City fans'

Micky Adams says that he feels sorry for Coventry City supporters following the club's relocation to Sixfields.

Former Coventry City manager Micky Adams has said that he feels sympathy for the club's fans, following the Sky Blues' relocation to Sixfields.

The League One side currently play their home matches at Northampton Town's stadium after moving out of the Ricoh Arena following a dispute with the venue's owners.

Adams, who managed Coventry between 2005 and 2007, has hinted that it is the club's fans who are suffering as a result.

"It's the Coventry supporters you've got to feel sorry for," Adams told BBC Radio Stoke.

"I still find it an absolute nonsense that they're having to choose, when there's a ready-made 30,000-seater stadium that they should be in at the Ricoh Arena."

Adams will face his former club on Saturday when they visit Port Vale.
