Arturo Vidal: 'Chile want to win World Cup'

Arturo Vidal believes that Chile have a chance to win the 2014 World Cup following their successful qualification.

Chile and Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has insisted that Chile intend to win the 2014 World Cup having safely achieved qualification with their 2-1 win over Ecuador on Wednesday night.

Vidal said that as well as his country's ambitions things are going very well for him at his club, who soon face Real Madrid in the Champions League.

"I am happy with the way Chile have played our last few games," Tuttosport quotes Vidal as saying. "We have confidence for the group stage because there are many players that give everything.

"We have qualified for the World Cup to try to win it. We hope to be [up there with the] leaders in Brazil because we have a good team and very good players.

"I'm very happy because all things are going well for me at Juventus, plus we have qualified here for the second World Cup in a row and hope to continue to grow."

Vidal joined Juventus in 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
