Willian vows to complete Premier League season at Chelsea

Chelsea attacker Willian vows to complete the 2019-20 Premier League season at the club despite his contract situation.

Chelsea attacker Willian has insisted that he will remain focused on the Blues in the coming months and has vowed to complete the 2019-20 Premier League season at the club.

The current campaign has been placed on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak, and it is currently unclear when English football might be able to resume.

Willian's contract at Stamford Bridge will expire at the end of June, meaning that he could feasibly be out of contract at the club while the season is still taking place.

The Brazil international, though, has said that he will "remain loyal" to the Blues by playing until the conclusion of the Premier League season, providing that it can be completed.

"My contract really ends I think in July," Willian told Esporte Interativo. "And if I had to play on those dates, in these months, I think it would be no problem for me to end the league in a way which would be loyal to the club, as they always were with me.

"Regardless of a signed paper. But it's clear that this is not a certainty, we don't know what can happen. But without a doubt, as always, I will always be ready to give the best to my club regardless of my contract situation."

The 31-year-old has scored seven goals and provided six assists in 37 appearances for Frank Lampard's side during there 2019-20 campaign.
