Newcastle are reportedly preparing a triple swoop for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech as they try to consolidate a Champions League place.

Newcastle United are reportedly considering a triple swoop for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech.

Manager Eddie Howe's priority this month is understood to be a centre midfielder, however he is also interested in wingers and a right-back, according to reports.

The Telegraph reports that Newcastle are interested in signing midfielders Gallagher and Loftus-Cheek and winger Ziyech from the Blues this month.

The report claims that Graham Potter's side are reluctant to lose the two Englishmen but the Moroccan may be allowed to leave in order to comply with UEFA squad rules.

After the arrivals of Benoit Badiashile, Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk, Chelsea must cut two non-homegrown players from their Champions League squad to face Borussia Dortmund.

The Magpies currently sit third in the Premier League and are looking to consolidate a place in the Champions League next season, whilst Chelsea are 10th, 10 points behind Manchester United in the final Champions League spot.
