Report: Chelsea in pole position to sign Barcelona's Dani Alves

Chelsea are in pole position to sign Barcelona defender Dani Alves ahead of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City, according to a report.

Chelsea are leading the race to sign Barcelona defender Dani Alves, according to a report.

The 31-year-old told Brazilian newspaper O Globo this week that he was looking to leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season and head to England, which he deemed "the cradle of football".

However, the Daily Star claims that Blaugrana manager Luis Enrique wants to cash in on the Brazilian international rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season, with Jose Mourinho reportedly interested in the experienced right-back.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be keen on Alves, who has been a key member of the Barcelona squad for over six years.
