Chelsea have reportedly identified New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic as a potential transfer target.
Earlier this summer, the Blues secured the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion stopper Robert Sanchez, who was expected to act as deputy to Kepa Arrizabalaga.
However, an injury to Real Madrid number one Thibaut Courtois has resulted in Los Blancos acquiring Arrziabalaga's services on a season-long loan deal.
Arrizabalaga has acknowledged that he is hoping to complete a permanent switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, effectively leaving Chelsea to consider a full-time replacement.
In recent days, Nice's Kasper Schmeichel has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, but the club's recruitment are currently considering a wide array of options.

According to Football Insider, an approach could be made for Petrovic over the coming days.
The 23-year-old has been with New England Revolution since last year, making a total of 48 appearances for the MLS side side in all competitions.
As many as 14 clean sheets have been recorded in 43 league outings, while Petrovic also has two caps for the Serbia national team.
With Petrovic possessing a contract until the end of 2025, New England Revolution do not have to be in a rush to part ways with one of their most prized assets.

Head coach Bruce Arena will also not want to lose Petrovic at this stage of the season with his team in second position in the Eastern Conference table.
Journalist Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard says that the United States-based outfit may look to recoup £24m if Chelsea make an official bid.
Furthermore, Petrovic may only become interested in a transfer if he is to become first choice under Mauricio Pochettino, something which cannot be guaranteed.
Other European clubs are said to be monitoring any developments with Petrovic's future, although it is unclear whether any team would be prepared to meet New England Revolution's demands.
