Atletico Madrid join Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign Ajax attacker David Neres this summer, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Ajax attacker David Neres in this summer's transfer window.

Neres scored 12 times and contributed 15 assists in 50 appearances for Ajax during the 2018-19 campaign.

Chelsea and Liverpool have both been linked with moves for the 22-year-old this summer.

However, according to AS, Atletico are also keen on a deal for the Brazil international, who played a key role in Ajax winning a league and cup double this term, in addition to reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Atletico are expected to have a fairly sizeable transfer budget this summer with Antoine Griezmann expected to fetch upwards of £100m when he leaves the Wanda Metropolitano, potentially for Barcelona.

Neres, who made his Brazil debut in March, joined Ajax from Sao Paulo in January 2017.
