Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has been 'in touch' with Barcelona over a potential return to Spain, according to a report.

Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has reportedly been 'in touch' with Barcelona over a potential return to Spain.

Morata, 26, joined Chelsea from Real Madrid in the summer of 2017 and has scored 27 times in 93 appearances for his English club in all competitions.

The Spaniard has managed seven goals in 20 appearances for the Blues this term, but his future at Stamford Bridge is believed to be far from secure.

According to RAC1, the representatives of Morata have held talks with Barcelona over a potential move to Camp Nou, and the Spanish champions are exploring the possibility of making a bid.

Barcelona have been linked with a number of forwards in recent weeks as it is understood that the Catalan giants are looking for a long-term Luis Suarez replacement.
