Agent: 'Arsenal target Petr Cech told he can leave Chelsea'

Petr Cech earns permission from Chelsea to negotiate with "interested parties", according to the goalkeeper's agent.

The agent of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has confirmed that his client has earned permission to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 32-year-old has fallen behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order this season and is reportedly keen to leave, having started just 14 games in all competitions.

The Blues' Premier League rivals Arsenal are among those interested, but manager Jose Mourinho recently suggested that he would not strengthen their fellow Londoners.

However, an exit seems imminent after the club's hierarchy granted Cech permission to negotiate with "interested parties", but Viktor Kolar stopped short of revealing them.

"Petr has a valid contract with his current club, however, I can confirm that we have been permitted by Chelsea to negotiate with interested parties," Kolar told talkSPORT.

"Petr has confirmed his interest to play regularly at a top club."

Cech, who joined the club in 2004, has another two years left on his contract.
