Chelsea striker Fernando Torres admits that he would be delighted to work with Jose Mourinho should he rejoin the club in the summer.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has admitted that he would be excited to work with Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach looks likely to complete a sensational return to Stamford Bridge following the announcement that he is to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Blues have not officially commented on a new appointment, though reports suggest Mourinho is a done deal. Torres has said that the whole squad is now looking towards next season and claimed that it will be great to work with Mourinho.

"We will see what happens. Everyone is expecting the new manager now and looking forward to next season," the Spaniard told reporters.

"I am sure it is going to be a great season. We are just waiting for the name of the new manager. It looks like Jose is one of the managers who can come to Chelsea. Everyone is talking about that, we will see.

"If he comes it will be great to have the chance to work for him and it will be a big challenge for everyone."

Torres scored 23 goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season.
