Premier League in numbers: Week 21

Sports Mole looks back over the weekend's Premier League action with a selection of facts and figures.

Hull City 1-2 Chelsea

Eden Hazard scored nine Premier League goals last season - a tally that he has already reached this term with his strike at the KC Stadium.

Up the other end, Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech kept his 150th clean sheet.

As for Hull, their manager Steve Bruce has won just one of his 19 matches in charge of teams against the Blues.

Cardiff City 0-2 West Ham United

The re-signing of Carlton Cole may have been met with scepticism from some, but the West Ham striker has now scored three goals in his last five matches.

Also, Mark Noble's goal was his first that wasn't a penalty since October 2012.

The loss means that Cardiff have beaten the Hammers just once at home in their last 11 attempts.

Everton 2-0 Norwich City

It was a landmark occasion for Everton's Gareth Barry, who became the 81st player to score 50 Premier League goals.

His teammate, Kevin Mirallas, has now netted three goals this season, all of which have been converted at Goodison Park.

As for Norwich, they have lost seven of their 11 away encounters this season.

Fulham 1-4 Sunderland

Adam Johnson had not scored a hat-trick in the Premier League prior to this fixture at Craven Cottage.

What's more, he became the first Sunderland player to achieve the feat since Darren Bent did so against Bolton Wanderers in March 2010.

Fulham have conceded 46 goals - more than any other team in the division.

Southampton 1-0 West Bromwich Albion

In his last five Premier League matches, Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana has scored two goals and assisted three more for his teammates.

The hosts had struggled to keep clean sheets before this fixture. This was their first in six home matches.

West Brom have still emerged victorious from just one of their 11 games on the road.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Crystal Palace

Palace's Jason Puncheon's unsuccessful penalty means that he has the unwanted accolade of being the first player to miss the target from 12 yards this season.

Meanwhile, Tottenham's Toronto FC-bound Jermain Defoe scored his first Premier League goal of the season. He has now scored in each of the last 13 campaigns.

He also holds the record of scoring more goals (22) as a substitute than any other player.

Manchester United 2-0 Swansea City

United striker Danny Welbeck now has six Premier League goals to his name in as many outings.

Also, Antonio Valencia found the net for the first time at Old Trafford since Boxing Day 2011.

Despite their victory in the FA Cup a few days earlier, Swansea are still without a win from any of their league trips to United.

Newcastle United 0-2 Manchester City

From a possible 30 points, Man City have now collected 28, with their only blot being a draw at Southampton.

Also, Manuel Pellegrini's team have won six Premier League matches in a row - something that no other team has managed to do so far this season.

Newcastle, on the other hand, have now gone 280 minutes without scoring a goal.

Stoke City 3-5 Liverpool

The visiting Reds had never previously won at the Britannia Stadium prior to this success.

Luis Suarez also continued his fine form in front of goal, taking his tally for the campaign to 22.

All of Jonathan Walters's last thee goals in the Premier League have been scored against the Merseysiders.

Aston Villa 1-2 Arsenal

Jack Wilshere has scored five Premier League goals, two of which have been fired in against Villa.

His strike helped Arsenal take their points tally away from home to 25, which is more than any other club has managed to amass.

Despite the defeat, Villa centre-forward Christian Benteke did end his 11-game wait for a goal.
