Ben Mee: 'Burnley ready for Chelsea'

Ben Mee insists that he and his Burnley teammates are relishing the challenge of facing Chelsea in their first game of the new Premier League campaign.

Burnley defender Ben Mee has insisted that he and his teammates are relishing the challenge of starting the new Premier League season against Chelsea.

Last year's Championship runners-up get their campaign underway next Monday when they welcome the Blues to Turf Moor.

Following a solid pre-season for the Clarets, Mee is now looking forward to facing Jose Mourinho's men.

"We've been focusing on it from day one really, from the start of the season and aiming towards it," the 24-year-old told the club's official website.

"We'll start looking at it more and more this week in depth and the lads are all looking forward to it - it will be a great occasion.

"It's been a really good pre-season, we've settled really well as a group with the new lads coming in, worked hard and everyone is looking fit."

Mee, who joined Burnley in 2012, recently signed a new three-year deal with the club.
