Belgium manager Roberto Martinez stresses that Chelsea forward Eden Hazard "can play for any of the best clubs in the world".

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that Eden Hazard "can play for any of the best clubs in the world".

The Chelsea forward has two years remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and has not yet committed to a new deal.

As a result, Hazard remains the subject of transfer speculation, with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona thought to be interested in the 27-year-old's services.

When asked by the Daily Mail about the prospect of the attacker moving to the Bernabeu, Martinez said: "He can play for any demanding team in the world.

"It's a very easy question for me, he is one of the most complete footballers in the modern game now.

"Everyone speaks about footballers and about what they can do on the pitch, and rightly so it is very easy to assess what Eden Hazard does on the pitch.

"Now, with the maturity that he has, you can build a winning project around him."

Hazard's nation will contest the World Cup's third-place playoff against England on Saturday.
