Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard believes that Jose Mourinho would be a "great success" if he were to return to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard believes that Jose Mourinho will be successful at his next club.

It has been reported that Mourinho will leave Real Madrid in the summer to return to Chelsea, and Lampard has insisted that the Portuguese coach will be eager to win trophies if he leaves Spain at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old told Sky Sports News: "If Jose comes back here, or wherever his next step will be, he will prepare and he will have so much desire to make it work.

"All those things are the overriding factors, and I think he will be a great success."

The 50-year-old won two Premier League titles and three domestic cups during his first spell at Stamford Bridge.
