MLS commissioner Don Garber has admitted that any American club would be happy to sign Frank Lampard.

The Chelsea midfielder, who will be out of contract next summer, has been linked with a move to the US and Garber joked that he would "chat up" the 34-year-old to persuade him to join the league.

Garber said: "Frank Lampard's a great player. He has a great history with the sport.

"If he decides he wants to play in Major League Soccer, I'm sure any club would be happy to have him on their roster.

"I'll go into the locker room and see if I can chat him up."

China is also rumoured to be a possible destination for Lampard if his time at Stamford Bridge comes to an end.
