Radamel Falcao wants "more opportunities" at Chelsea

Radamel Falcao is refusing to give up hope that he can impress during his loan spell with Premier League side Chelsea.

Radamel Falcao has conceded that he is disappointed by the way that his loan stint at Chelsea has unfolded so far.

Former manager Jose Mourinho signed the Monaco striker on a season-long loan basis during the summer, despite the fact that he only scored four goals for Manchester United on a similar deal during the 2014-15 campaign.

He has since gone on to score just once in 11 outings for the West Londoners, but the Colombian has said that he is still eager to impress during the second half of the season.

"Chelsea are the team who bet on me and I took that opportunity," the 29-year-old told Hola Colombia.

"However, it has been complicated because the team hasn't started the season the best, nor have I been given the opportunities I want.

"But I'm very grateful, very happy. As for the future, I hope to have more opportunities to show what I can do in the second half of the season."

Recent speculation has claimed that the Blues have explored the possibility of sending the Colombian back to his Ligue 1 parent club early.
