Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that he does not expect Ashley Cole to be fit for Sunday's match with Liverpool.

Cole missed Chelsea's 3-2 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek with a hamstring problem, and Di Matteo has admitted that he is likely to be absent for the match at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Di Matteo told reporters: "Sunday's probably too early for him but hopefully he'll be back for the next game against West Brom."

Chelsea are currently one point behind Manchester United in the Premier League table.
