The Football Association charges Chelsea due to the conduct of their players at half time of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Huddersfield Town.

The Football Association has charged Chelsea over the conduct of their players during Wednesday's Premier League fixture with Huddersfield Town.

Just before the half-time whistle, Chelsea won a corner but referee Lee Mason prevented the Blues from taking the set piece as he blew for the break.

The decision left Chelsea incensed and a number of players surrounded the official as he made his way off the pitch, leading to the governing body punishing the West London outfit.

The match at Stamford Bridge eventually ended in a 1-1 draw, with Marcos Alonso's fortuitous goal cancelling out an earlier strike from Laurent Depoitre.

Failure to see off the Terriers has resulted in Chelsea facing the prospect of only qualifying for the Europa League next season.
