Petr Cech: 'Bradford City deserve to go through'

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech admits that League One side Bradford City "deserved" their FA Cup fourth-round win over the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

Petr Cech has admitted that Bradford City "deserved" their shock 4-2 FA Cup win over Chelsea on Saturday and that they were "much more enthusiastic about the game."

Goals from Jon Stead, Filipe Morais, Andy Halliday and Mark Yeates completed a remarkable turnaround for Bradford after Gary Cahill and Ramires had put the Blues 2-0 up at Stamford Bridge.

Following the game, Cech told BBC Sport: "I thought once we went 2-0 up we had a big advantage but it was a tricky one because we actually scored from almost nothing and they had had chances before. We knew it would be difficult and as soon as they scored the equaliser we lost control of what we wanted to do. Today they were much more enthusiastic about the game.

"It was a black Saturday for the Premier League teams. Every year you can see this kind of result in the FA Cup. That is why I always say it is special.

"It is just unfortunate that today, for the first time, I was on the wrong side of this miracle. Credit to Bradford, they scored four great goals and deserved to go through."

The FA Cup fifth-round draw will take place on Monday.
