Ole Gunnar Solskjaer focuses on survival

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists that he is focused only on Premier League survival after being knocked out of the FA Cup by Wigan Athletic.

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Premier League survival is the club's only focus after being knocked out of the FA Cup by holders Wigan Athletic.

The Welsh side were beaten 2-1 by the Championship outfit in the fifth round of the competition.

"We are out of the cup now so there is only one thing we have to concentrate on and that is the league," Solskjaer told reporters.

"I'm made in a way that I always try to see something positive, even in a defeat like this if you can. Today is not easy as we thought we had a chance to go all the way.

"The league and survival in the top flight is now what we have to concentrate on."

Cardiff currently sit second from bottom in the Premier League table, two points from safety.
