Report: Southampton eyeing summer move for Burnley striker Danny Ings

Southampton will reportedly try to sign Danny Ings from Burnley this summer.

Southampton have reportedly identified Burnley striker Danny Ings as a transfer target this summer.

The 22-year-old has helped Burnley earn automatic promotion to the Premier League this season and is now being targeted by other clubs in the top flight.

According to Football Direct News, one of those is Southampton, who signed another promising English forward - Jay Rodriguez - from Burnley two years ago.

Ings picked up the Championship Player of the Year award last month and is second in the league's scoring charts behind Ross McCormack after firing 19 goals in 39 appearances this season.
