Oscar Garcia pleased with Brighton & Hove Albion's first home win

Oscar Garcia says that extra time on the training pitch has seen Brighton & Hove Albion recover from a poor start to the Championship season.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Oscar Garcia has expressed his delight at recording his first win at The Amex.

The Seagulls lost their opening two games but managed to get off the mark against Birmingham City at St Andrew's last week.

Goals from Andrew Crofts and Lenardo Ulloa secured a 2-0 win against Burnley this afternoon, and Garcia believes that it is a result of extra time on the training pitch.

"I am very happy to get my first win at home and to get it in front of our fans makes it even better," PA Sport quotes Garcia as saying.

"We wanted the win and I know that the fans are happy. Looking back at the start we made, it was difficult because we couldn't practise many days.

"But during the last two weeks we haven't had a game mid-week and we've been able to practice more."

Brighton welcome Millwall to The Amex next Saturday.
