Sean Dyche happy with Burnley form

Sean Dyche believes that Burnley's recent form is a "great return" for a Championship side.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has said that he is satisfied with his team's recent run of form despite trailing Championship leaders Leicester City by four points.

Two goals from Danny Ings and a third from Kieran Trippier on 79 minutes were enough to secure three points for the Clarets and Dyche revealed his delight, not only with his side's progress, but the finish from his full-back late in the game

He told reporters: "That's three wins and two draws from the last six games, which is a great return in this league, where teams are so competitive.

"It was a champagne moment for Kieran and the freedom he had to go past the front players shows we can find different ways of winning"

Burnley take a break from league action by travelling to Southampton for their third-round FA Cup encounter on Saturday.
