Gary Bowyer targets new striker

Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer says that he would like to sign another striker.

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has admitted that he would like to bring another striker to the club.

Bowyer has four forwards at his disposal in the form of Jordan Rhodes, Ruben Rochina, DJ Campbell and Leon Best.

"If you look at our strike force, we've got all different types of strikers available to us bar a big man who can throw himself about," Bowyer told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We feel if it's something we can add it would make us better because you're not always going to be able to go through teams or go around teams. Sometimes you're going to have to go over teams and at the moment we're lacking that a little bit.

"There are teams in our division who have the option to do that. We feel we haven't and it's something we'd like to address. At the moment there seems to be one or two that are available at the right price so we are working very hard to get that done."

Blackburn currently sit 13th in the Championship.
