Blackburn Rovers will be missing a number of regulars for tomorrow's Carling Cup tie with Newcastle United.

Under-pressure Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean will be without a number of first-team regulars for tomorrow's Carling Cup tie with Newcastle United.

Midfielder Steven Nzonzi is the latest player to be ruled out, having picked up his fifth booking of the season during Sunday's loss to Tottenham Hotspur. As a result he will now serve a one-match suspension.

Also missing for the tie are the injured Scott Dann, Michel Salgado, David Dunn, Ryan Nelsen and Vince Grella.

"We are still down on bodies, and with Nzonzi suspended we are lighter than we were on Sunday," Kean told the club's official website.

"We've a little bit of choice, but our programme is tighter than Newcastle's as we played Sunday, they played Saturday, after this we play Saturday and they don't play until Monday night, so we've been a lot lighter on them so far in terms of the pre-match preparation."

Rovers are currently bottom of the Premier League table.
