Report: Atletico Madrid want Loic Remy

A report claims that Atletico Madrid want to sign Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy, who has spent this season on loan at Newcastle United.

The capital outfit are expected to lose the services of leading scorer Diego Costa at the end of the season, with Chelsea believed to be close to signing the Spanish international.

According to the Daily Mail, Remy has impressed Atletico this season, with the Spanish club preparing a £10m move for the Frenchman.

Newcastle are also keen on making the 27-year-old's loan move permanent, but it is understood that the player wants to play Champions League football next season.

Since arriving in England in January 2013, Remy has scored 19 times in 37 Premier League games.
