Report: Inter Milan want Diego Simeone for 2015-16 season

A report claims that Inter Milan want Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone to become their new manager for the 2015-16 season.

Inter Milan are reportedly confident of luring Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone to the club next summer.

The Argentine is now regarded as one of the best coaches in European football after leading Atletico to their first La Liga title since 1996 last term.

Simeone also led his team into the Champions League final, where the capital outfit were beaten in extra time by Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid.

It is widely accepted that Simeone will remain in Madrid for at least one more season, but according to Sport Mediaset, Inter are confident of prising the 44-year-old away next summer.

Simeone represented Inter as a player from 1997 to 1999 and was part of the team that won the UEFA Cup in 1998.

Current Inter boss Walter Mazzarri has one year remaining on his contract at the San Siro.
