Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert plays down any ill-feeling between himself and Norwich ahead of the meeting between the two sides this weekend.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has insisted that he will approach tomorrow's match against former club Norwich City as "just another game".

Lambert enjoyed great success at Carrow Road, leading the club to back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League during his three years in charge.

However, the 43-year-old joined Villa in acrimonious circumstances, resulting in both Norwich and Lambert suing each other. Lambert has played down any ill-feeling, however, insisting that he is focused on leading Villa to three points.

"The Norwich game only has spice because I left. It's not something that I'm really worried about or anything like that," he said.

"It's just another game. I had a great three years there and if people want to deflect on to something else then I can't help that. There's some things that have been said which have been disappointing.

"But football moves on and it's a massive game for ourselves. We have to win, that is the bottom line."

Norwich and Villa sit 15th and 17th respectively in the Premier League table, each having picked up one win this season.
