Arsene Wenger hails Arsenal's "great intensity"

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that his team showed "great intensity" during their 4-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger has said that Arsenal had "great intensity" during their win over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Gunners scored three goals in an eight-minute spell at the end of the first half to set up their 4-1 victory, which moves them up to second in the table.

Their manager said at his post-match press conference: "We started with a great intensity to put them under pressure, we had the killing instinct and took advantage in the first half.

"What [Mesut Ozil] does is always classy and intelligent. The timing of his passes is fantastic. You'd love to play with him. [Alexis Sanchez] gave absolutely everything. He's a guy who never gives up. He fought until the end.

"We missed important players at the start of the season and dropped points. We have the quality to fight at the top."

Arsenal sit four points behind leaders Chelsea in the table, although they have played two games more.
