Arsenal's Mesut Ozil in squad to face Stoke City

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirms that Mesut Ozil could feature against Stoke City on Saturday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that midfielder Mesut Ozil could feature in this Saturday's Premier League match at Stoke City.

The 25-year-old's last appearance for the Gunners was in their 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, where he missed a penalty.

Ozil missed last Saturday's 4-1 win over Sunderland with a dead leg and Wenger believes that he will have benefited from the rest.

"Ozil had a difficult game [against Bayern Munich]," the Arsenal boss told The Independent. "It's good to refresh when you are under pressure."

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has claimed that Wenger should drop Ozil after his recent dip in form.
