Laurent Koscielny to make shock Arsenal return against Chelsea?

Laurent Koscielny could make a surprising comeback for Arsenal against Chelsea despite not being expected to return until later this month, according to a report.

Arsene Wenger may be able to call upon Laurent Koscielny when Arsenal host Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday night.

The Frenchman was forced off with an horrific knee gash during the first half of the Gunners' 6-3 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend and was anticipated to miss several matches this month.

While Koscielny was expected to return for their Boxing Day trip to West Ham United as the very earliest, The Mirror claims that he could feature against the Blues tonight after successfully training with his teammates over the weekend.

Thomas Vermaelen is likely to partner Per Mertesacker in the heart of the defence should Koscielny not recover in time.
