Olivier Giroud: Arsenal "really pleased" with first-half performance

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud admits that the team were happy with their first-half performance in their 4-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League.

Olivier Giroud has said that Arsenal were "really pleased" with their first-half performance in their win over Liverpool in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Gunners scored three goals in the last eight minutes before the break on their way to a 4-1 win over Brendan Rodgers's side at the Emirates Stadium.

The striker told BT Sport: "Liverpool lost the ball a lot at the back in the first half and we could have scored even more goals in the first 45 minutes, but we were obviously really pleased to back in dressing room 3-0.

"We want to finish strongly but we have to take it game by game and focus on ourselves before looking at Chelsea and Man City's results. We want to win every single game and then we'll see what happens."

The result moves Arsenal above Manchester City into second in the table, although they have played a match more than the defending champions.
