Cesc Fabregas claims negative fans won't stop him loving Arsenal

Chelsea centre-midfielder Cesc Fabregas admits that he still loves Arsenal despite boos from Gunners fans last season.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has insisted that a negative reception will not stop him from loving Arsenal.

The Spaniard joined the Gunners aged 16, and stayed for eight seasons before he returned to Barcelona.

However, the 28-year-old received a hostile reception from supporters last season and the same could happen at Wembley on Sunday when the pair meet in the Community Shield.

He is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail: "Whatever it is, it is. The love I have for that club will never change whatever happens and what is the most important is what I have with me from my time there.

"The rest doesn't matter, I have great memories, love and respect for the club. You will never hear anything bad from me about them."

Fabregas played 303 times for the North London side.
