Raul Jimenez taken to hospital after clash of heads with David Luiz

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez is taken to hospital after a sickening clash of heads with Arsenal centre-back David Luiz.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez has been taken to hospital after a sickening clash of heads with Arsenal centre-back David Luiz at the Emirates Stadium.

Jimenez collided with Luiz in the early stages of the Premier League clash, and the Mexico international required oxygen before being stretchered off the pitch under the eye of concerned teammates.

Luiz received treatment and was able to carry on, but the Wolves forward was forced off and has now travelled to hospital to determine the extent of the damage, which could leave him facing a spell on the sidelines.

The 29-year-old has been in impressive form for Nuno Espirito Santo's side this season, finding the back of the net on four occasions in nine Premier League appearances.

Wolves took the lead in the 27th minute of Sunday's contest though Pedro Neto before Gabriel levelled the scores for the Gunners three minutes later.

The visitors took a 2-1 advantage into the half-time interval, though, courtesy of an effort from Daniel Podence in the 42nd minute of the contest.
