Willo Flood signs a pre-contract agreement to join Aberdeen when his Dundee United deal runs out this summer.

Willo Flood has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Aberdeen when his Dundee United deal runs out this summer.

The 28-year-old midfielder joined the Scottish Premier League side from Middlesbrough in 2011.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has revealed that he is looking forward to working with Flood.

"I've always been a great admirer of Willo," McInnes told the club's official website.

"He's a player I am looking to make a real impact for Aberdeen next season.

"With his extensive SPL experience, he was voted player of the year for Dundee United last season which speaks volumes about his ability."

The Pittodrie club are yet to confirm the length of Flood's contract.
