Kane Williamson "disappointed" despite hitting century at Lord's

New Zealand centurion Kane Williamson tells his bowlers to "stick to their guns" ahead of day four of the first Test against England at Lord's.

New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson has admitted that he is frustrated with his performance despite scoring 132 against England at Lord's.

The 24-year-old was unbeaten on 92 yesterday, and completed his century this morning.

However, he was caught off the bowling of Moeen Ali shortly before tea as New Zealand crumbled from 470-5 to 523 all out.

Williamson told Sky Sports News: "It is nice to get your name on the board but at the same time I was disappointed to get out at the stage I did. With the conditions and the rain around, it was a different type of game.

"The challenge is the mental transition from a shorter format to the longer one and make good decisions over a longer period of time. I wanted to bat longer than I did today, hence my frustration.

"It is important that we are patient and the bowlers stick to their areas. There is still something in the wicket and hopefully it will make for a challenge for the opposition."

England finished day three on 74-2, and still trail the Kiwis by 60 runs.
