Johnson Charles scores 97 runs off 100 balls to help the West Indies win a one-day international against India by a single wicket.

The West Indies have secured victory in the Celkon Cup against India tonight with a nail-biting one-wicket win at Sabina Park.

India had set the hosts a target of 240 runs in a topsy-turvy innings, which was achieved largely due to 60 off 89 balls from Rohit Sharma.

A pulled muscle prevented MS Dhoni from adding to his promising early haul of 27, leaving the West Indies with a target of 240 for victory.

Their chase got off to a shaky start as Darren Sammy was trapped behind without scoring, with the home side in trouble at 26-3.

Johnson Charles and Darren Bravo revived their side with a stunning partnership, with the pair adding 116 runs in a fourth-wicket stand.

Under pressure Charles guided his side towards the finish line, hitting 97 runs off just 100 balls.

In a tense finish the hosts held firm, with Tino Best and Kemar Roach delivering the winning runs to secure back-to-back victories in their home triangular tournament.
