Jonathan Trott is called up to the England Lions squad for next year's tour of South Africa.

Jonathan Trott has been named in the England Lions squad for their upcoming tour of South Africa.

The batsman last played at international level one year ago during England's disastrous Ashes tour of Australia.

Trott, 33, left that tour early due to what was described at the time as a "stress-related illness".

He later claimed that he was forced to return to England due to being 'burned out'.

England travel to South Africa at the start of 2015 to play eight matches in various formats.
