Stephen Parry joins Brisbane Heat

England spin-bowler Stephen Parry agrees a deal to play for the Brisbane Heat for the rest of the Big Bash League.

The Brisbane Heat have confirmed the signing of England international Stephen Parry for the remainder of the Big Bash League.

The 28-year-old spin-bowler will replace Daniel Vettori, who will link up with his New Zealand teammates following Thursday's meeting with the Perth Scorchers.

"He's a good lad and a seasoned competitor for Lancashire. He's a solid all-round cricketer so we expect him to slot in and play a similar role as the one Dan performed for us," said Heat coach Stuart Law.

Parry could make his Heat debut against the Sydney Sixers on Sunday.
