Jos Buttler proud of England victory

Jos Buttler reveals his delight after watching England clinch the Twenty20 series with victory over Pakistan in Dubai.

Jos Buttler has paid tribute to the England players after they clinched victory in the Twenty20 series with Pakistan in Dubai.

A dramatic three-run win earned England an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series as Buttler captained the team to success in the absence of Eoin Morgan, who was rested as the tourists rotated once again.

The wicketkeeper was also keen to pay tribute to Chris Woakes, who held his nerve bowling the final six balls after previously being hit for three sixes by Shahid Afridi in the 18th over.

"I'll take one win from one match as captain. It's a little bit more stressful and emotional," Buttler told BBC Sport.

"We weren't at our best, but we did enough to win a game away from home against great opposition. That's a great effort.

"It was great character from Woakes after that over he bowled to Afridi. To have the guts and balls to bowl that final over as well as he did is great testament to him."

The third T20 takes place in Sharjah on Monday.
