Wladimir Klitschko: Calf injury is "minor"

World heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko reveals that the injury which has resulted in the postponement of his fight with Tyson Fury is "minor".

Wladimir Klitschko has taken to Instagram to apologise for his withdrawal from the world heavyweight title showdown with Tyson Fury.

Klitschko had been scheduled to face mandatory challenger Fury in Dusseldorf on October 24, but after he suffered a calf injury on Thursday, the bout will now take place at a later date.

In a video on the social media site, the 39-year-old said: "I am sorry to inform you that I have to postpone by fight with Tyson Fury due to a minor injury.

"I am working hard on the rescheduling of the fight and as soon as I know, I will keep you posted about the new date."

Klitschko's manager Bernd Bonte has revealed that a new date will be announced next week, while the bout will still take place at the ESPIRIT Arena, which boasts a retractable roof.
