Promoter Eddie Hearn has said that Tony Bellew's clash with Adonis Stevenson could take place in Liverpool.
Despite not having an official date, Bellew will square off against Stevenson for the WBC lightheavyweight title and Hearn has said that he will try to make the fight happen in Bellew's hometown.
"Much really depends on HBO's stance on it. If they are not interested in Stevenson then there is a great chance the fight will be in Liverpool," Hearn told the Liverpool Echo.
"If HBO want Stevenson then it is more likely that the fight will be over there [in North America]. The game changed a little bit because it was such an impressive victory [by Stevenson over Chad Dawson last Saturday]."
Stevenson defeated Dawson in just 76 seconds in Canada, but Bellew has warned the 35-year-old that his reign will be short-lived.
