San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich says that it is "really sweet" to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference finals.

Gregg Popovich has described the San Antonio Spurs' win over the Oklahoma City Thunder as "really sweet".

The Spurs secured a 112-107 win in overtime to secure a place in the NBA finals against the Miami Heat for a second season in a row.

The coach told reporters: "I have to be honest, this victory is really sweet because we know we played one hell of a team, and we take great satisfaction in that since they're so special."

The finals get underway in San Antonio on Thursday.
