The Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets will meet in a regular-season match at the O2 Arena in London on January 16 next year, the NBA announced today.

The match will be part of the NBA Global Games London 2014 and will mark the fourth year in a row a regular season game has been held in London.

It is is one of two regular season contests the NBA will play internationally in 2013-14 - the other pits the Minnesota Timberwolves against the San Antonio Spurs on December 4 in Mexico City.

NBA Commissioner David Stern said: "With the addition of regular-season games in London and Mexico City, we will play one of the most comprehensive international games schedules in our history next season.

"Through these games we will bring the NBA experience to more fans and provide showcases for basketball and the extraordinary talent of our players."

Earlier this year the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons met at the O2, with the Knicks winning 102-87.
