The Los Angeles Lakers have announced the signing of forward Jonathan Holmes.
The rookie played for the Boston Celtics in the NBA summer camp, and averaged 12.2 points per game and 5.6 rebounds.
The Lakers have been impressed enough to hand the undrafted Holmes a multi-year contract ahead of the new campaign.
Holmes spent four seasons at the University of Texas, averaging 12.8 points per game.
