David Blatt could give Lebron James some rest over the course of the season

Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt reveals that he will do what is necessary to keep his star players healthy, including new signing LeBron James.

Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt has suggested that the team could look to conserve the energy of LeBron James next season.

James has so far spent 11 years in the NBA, with the player having picked up a back issue over the course of time, leading Blatt to state that he'll do whatever is necessary to keep his star players in good shape.

"Players are here to play and it's our job to get them ready and keep them healthy so they can participate in every game, but it doesn't always work out that way," said Blatt, according to The Akron Beacon Journal.

"Sometimes you have to know how to rest guys without the team being at risk. That's part of the process."

James will get to show the Cleveland fans the kind of player that he has become since originally leaving the franchise when the new season gets underway later this month.
