Atlanta Hawks CEO Steve Koonin imposes disciplinary action on general manager Danny Ferry after his slurs aimed at Luol Deng.

Atlanta Hawks CEO Steve Koonin has imposed a disciplinary sanction on general manager Danny Ferry after his inflammatory remarks about Luol Deng.

Media outlets in Atlanta obtained a letter earlier this week which says that Ferry as telling the franchise ownership that Deng "has a little African in him".

The former Chicago Bulls star was born in South Sudan but after his family moved to England, the 10-year NBA veteran is now a British citizen and played for England in the 2012 Olympics in London.

Atlanta are now expected to looking for new ownership ahead of the new season.
