England's Jess Judd admits Lynsey Sharp 'jealousy'

England's Jess Judd says that she is envious of Scotland runner Lynsey Sharp for her silver medal in the 800m final of the Commonwealth Games.

England runner Jess Judd has joked that she is jealous of Scotland's Lynsey Sharp, who finished ahead of her in their 800m final to win Commonwealth silver.

Sharp clocked a time of 2:01.34 to claim a second-place finish at Hampden Park last night to ensure that the host nation were represented on the podium.

Judd, meanwhile, could only manage fourth for Team England after coming in at 2:01.91, and the 19-year-old admits that she is slightly envious of the Scot.

"If you'd have told me that at the start of the season I would have laughed, but it's really disappointing, especially to see Lynsey get a medal," she told reporters.

"I'm so happy for her, but so jealous. Oh well, I can train, get back and see what happens."

Kenyan Eunice Sum claimed the gold.
